<img class="imgcen" id="img_0" src="http://lacomunidad.elpais.com/blogfiles/lentejas/gilas.jpg"><big><strong>Nada nuevo</strong> pude escuchar en la entrevista-mitín que el Presidente del Gobierno concedió anoche en RTVE. Con respecto a la economía, el mismo discurso de siempre, similares obviedades, la consabida carga de intenciones gaseosas, <strong>pero una verdad incuestionable</strong>: aunque hubiera anticipado su estelar iniciativa sostenible, la economía no se hubiera recuperado antes. Y ello es cierto porque el Gobierno confunde la planificación (la Ley de Economía Sostenible parece un Plan de Desarrollo a diez años) con la gestión inmediata de la crisis; confunde las necesidades urgentes de nuestro país con la consolidación de nuevos cimientos para un cambio de modelo; confunde, en fin, las churras tácticas con las merinas estratégicas. Los cuernos del toro económico siguen astifinos e intocados por nuestros responsables económicos; las manos necesarias permanecen ocupadas en aspavientos inútiles. Falta energía, decisión y concentración de esfuerzos en nuestras tres grandes debilidades: el desempleo, la anorexia crediticia que impide la supervivencia empresarial y la falta de competitividad; prioridades ineludibles que como tales deberían haberse grabado a fuego en los Presupuestos Generales del Estado para 2010. Pero no; <strong>pretendemos ganar la guerra económica mundial sin haber echado gasolina a nuestros tanques. </strong><strong>Si el maestro Gila levantara la cabeza...</strong></big>

<img src="http://lacomunidad.elpais.com/blogfiles/lentejas/Simon_Bolivar.jpg" id="img_0" class="imgcen"><big>Uno de los signos de estos tiempos es la relajación de nuestros niveles de autoexigencia, lo que se refleja en una deriva hacia el trazo grueso. Prestamos poca atención al remate final de nuestros documentos, presentaciones, productos o servicios. Es algo que podemos comprobar todos los días en los medios de comunicación y en el trato con clientes, proveedores y amigos.
Hace ya unos meses escribía en estas mismas Lentejas sobre las "tres C" que siempre deberíamos perseguir en la confección de nuestros trabajos: <strong><a href="http://lacomunidad.elpais.com/lentejas/2008/12/1/calidad-claridad-y-concision" title="http://lacomunidad.elpais.com/lentejas/2008/12/1/calidad-claridad-y-concision" id=link_0>calidad, claridad y concisión</a></strong>. Dichas cualidades están muy relacionadas con la precisión exigible a la información que proporcionamos. Esforzarnos para ser exactos siempre redundará en nuestro beneficio.
Para ilustrar este razonamiento, nada mejor que una simpática anécdota sobre <strong>Simón Bolívar</strong>, acaecida según cuentan durante una visita que pretendía efectuar a un pequeño pueblo. Bolívar, hombre minucioso, escribió al posadero de la aldea con el fin de preparar su alojamiento: <em>"quiero que a mi llegada esté todo bien dispuesto; el mobiliario cuidado, la comida perfectamente aderezada, la cama cómoda y limpia, la estancia ordenada y fresca, etc., etc. etc.."</em>
Cuando Bolívar llegó al pueblo, el posadero le recibió de inmediato y se dispuso a demostrar que había seguido al pie de la letra sus estrictas instrucciones. En efecto, todo estaba perfecto y nada tuvo que objetar el general. Cuando pensaba que la revista ya había finalizado, el posadero le indicó que todavía quedaba por visitar un aposento contiguo al suyo. Bolívar entró en la estancia, y para su sorpresa, encontró a tres mozas terriblemente asustadas.
- ¿Quiénes son estas tres jovencitas? -preguntó.
- Señor, estas son las tres <em>etcéteras</em> que había solicitado en su carta.

Moraleja: </strong>si no queremos encontrarnos sorpresas de última hora, más vale que seamos exactos en nuestras proposiciones, requerimientos e informaciones. </big>

<big>Hace exactamente un año, escribí un post con motivo del <strong>Día Internacional Contra La Violencia de Género</strong>. Entonces me preguntaba: <strong>¿qué tiene que ver esto con la economía?</strong>. No está de más recordar de nuevo aquella reflexión, plena y tristemente vigente (casi 50 mujeres asesinadas en España al día de la fecha, y muchísimas miles más en el resto del mundo):
<blockquote>Además de la atrocidad que supone, la violencia de género tiene un impacto económico muy significativo a escala mundial, especialmente en los países más pobres, donde es una de las principales causas de mortalidad. Según <a href="http://www.bancomundial.org/genero" title="http://www.bancomundial.org/genero" id="link_0">estudios desarrollados por el Banco Mundial</a> , sus efectos en el ahorro, la inversión y el crecimiento son sorprendentemente grandes, al incidir de manera directa en la productividad, la riqueza y los sistemas tributario, sanitario y fiscal de cada nación.
Las investigaciones han demostrado que la violencia doméstica limita de forma severa la contribución femenina al desarrollo económico y social, es origen de graves problemas de salud en mujeres y niñas, un impedimento muy importante para la acumulación de capital humano y el principal factor de transmisión de violencia entre generaciones. Ahí es nada.</blockquote>
Seguimos ante un drama de primera magnitud, que no sólo corrompe la naturaleza humana, sino también sus raíces económicas. Por ello estas "lentejas" seguirán conmemorando esta fecha con toda la insistencia del mundo.</big>
