A pesar de ello, puedo decir que cada proyecto en el que ha participado o cada álbum en solitario que ha grabado son joyas poco habituales en los tiempos que corren. </div><div> </div><div> </div><div>Tras pasar los 90 con su banda <a href="http://www.myspace.com/screamingtrees" title="http://www.myspace.com/screamingtrees" id="link_0">Screaming Trees</a> luchando por un reconocimiento que no llegarían a alcanzar en la turbulenta escena de Seattle acabarían tirando la toalla con la que sería su mejor obra "Dust". Entonces Lanegan dio comienzo a una brillante carrera en solitario. Digo en solitario, pero matizo: siempre bien rodeado. </div><div> </div><div> </div><div>La primera incursión en el estudio ("The winding sheet" 1990) sin su banda madre sería acompañado de dos tercios de Nirvana: Kurt Cobain y Krist Novolesic. También estuvo en el supergrupo Mad Season junto a algunos de los miembros de <a href="http://www.pearljam.com" title="http://www.pearljam.com" id="link_1">Pearl Jam</a>.  Posteriormente colaboraría en dos álbumes de una de las mejores bandas de rock de fin del siglo XX: Queens of the Stone Age. Otra de sus colaboraciones será junto a los <a href="http://www.thesoulsavers.com/" title="http://www.thesoulsavers.com/" id="link_0">Soulsavers</a> en el disco "It's not how far you fall, it's the way you land".</div><div> </div><div>Mostrará su cara más tierna pero a la vez oscura en los dos (excelentes) discos que ha editado junto a la ex-Belle and Sebastian Isobel Campbell, de los que pudimos disfrutar en a última edición del festival Primavera Club. Y por último, su colaboración con otro de los grandes nombres de los '90: Greg Dulli (ex-<a href="http://www.myspace.com/theafghanwhigs" title="http://www.myspace.com/theafghanwhigs" id="link_0">Afghan Whigs</a>) bajo el nombre de <a href="http://www.theguttertwins.com/" title="http://www.theguttertwins.com/" id="link_0">THE GUTTER TWINS</a>. El pasado año lanzaron "Saturnalia" un disco oscuro (como es habitual en todo lo que hace nuestro protagonista) pero lleno de rock. El próximo día 2 de febrero podremos disfrutar su (otra vez) oscuro directo en su actuación en el teatro Calderón de Madrid. </div><div> </div><div> </div><div>Estoy convencido de que aún está por grabar el disco definitivo y por el que será recordado.
