0.0.0.0 14519 9844 En 1980 Elvis Costello, que había sido seguidor devoto de Chet Baker, tuvo la oportunidad de verle en Londres, e incluso de cantar <em>You don't know what love is</em> con el trío de Baker. El increíble sonido de Baker por entonces se recogió en <em>Nightbird</em>, un disco grabado en uno de los templos londinenses del jazz, el Ronnie Scott's. No incluye la colaboración de Costello, pero sí un extraordinario <em>Send in the clowns</em> de Van Morrison. Bueno, al lío, que se me va... Parece ser que fue entonces cuando Baker conoció la historia de este temazo. Desde entonces, <em>Almost blue</em> formó parte del repertorio habitual de Baker y fue grabada por él en uno de sus mejores discos de la última época Let's get lost.
