Llegamos a una Barcelona colapsada de tráfico y con el tiempo justo para llegar al hotel dejar el coche, cenar algo y salir pitando hacía el Estadio Olímpico. El atasco era monumental, mientras yo buscaba vías alternativas para llegar a nuestro hotel en el callejero del portátil, Alberto se dejaba llevar por su intuición e iba tomando calles a derecha e izquierda sin que a mi me diera tiempo a situarme en el mapa. Paco decía “no llegamos” y Alberto solo repetía “¡estoy en racha, estoy en racha!”. Realmente lo estaba. Llegamos al hotel, aparcamos en un parking cercano y viendo la hora que era nos olvidamos de cenar, ya nos comeríamos un bocata en el concierto. <o:p></o:p></SPAN> <P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 6pt 0cm 0pt; TEXT-ALIGN: justify"><SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt; FONT-FAMILY: 'Trebuchet MS'">Nos repartimos por la Vía Layetana y en quince minutos acudimos corriendo al taxi que Paco había conseguido. Ahí empezó una carrera digna de la última escena de “Mujeres al borde de un ataque de nervios”, pero el taxista entre insultos a diestro y siniestro consiguió llevarnos hasta la puerta del Estadio. Llegábamos con media hora de retraso, pero en la puerta nos dijeron que aún no había empezado. Seguíamos de racha. Nos dirigimos a la barra más cercana, cogimos tres cervezas gigantes y nos fuimos a buscar sitio.</SPAN> <SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt; FONT-FAMILY: 'Trebuchet MS'"> <P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 6pt 0cm 0pt; TEXT-ALIGN: justify"><SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt; FONT-FAMILY: 'Trebuchet MS'">En ese momento se oyó un griterío. Primer plano de Sting en las pantallas gigantes. Miles de personas saltando allá abajo... A partir de ese momento solo recuerdo música, risas, cerveza, más música y más cerveza. Cuando Roxanne cerró el concierto nadie se quería ir. Llegaron los bises, y finalmente <FONT color=#999999><EM><FONT color=#999999>Every breath you take</FONT> </EM></FONT>(éxtasis ante el otro himno) y <FONT color=#999999><EM><FONT color=#999999>Next to you</FONT> </EM></FONT>cerraron definitivamente la noche. A partir de ahí recuerdo vagamente a Paco metido en el armario de mi habitación del hotel, a Alberto preparando combinados en el minibar y yo a borde del coma etílico. A la mañana siguiente yo me quería morir de la resaca que tenía mientras mis amigos se relajaban en la piscina de la azotea del hotel frescos como una rosa. Buscamos una cafetería para desayunar (ellos, yo lo intenté pero el zumo no quiso quedarse en mi cuerpo más de dos minutos) y dimos una vuelta por el barrio gótico. “Tengo que volver a Barcelona, pero en mejores condiciones” me decía mientras intentaba que el sonido del grupo de música cubana que tocaba en la calle no me reventara el cerebro. <o:p></o:p></SPAN> <P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 6pt 0cm 0pt; TEXT-ALIGN: justify"><SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt; FONT-FAMILY: 'Trebuchet MS'">El viaje de vuelta fue más silencioso y relajado. Después en el escenario principal empezó la juerga flamenca que empezó a calentar el ambiente auditivo. Un brióso soul flamenco de Pitingo hicieron que la gente empezará a bailar. Nostalgico Carmona con el Vente pa Madrid de Ketama (tiempos pasados fueron mejor) , y una poderosa Marcha Marcha de Rosario, antecedian el recuerdo de "No dudaría" del hermano de la Flores. Y sonaron los primeros compases de Rock. En otro escenario, mientras, un voluntarioso Zuccero hizo un concierto profesional pero escasamente seguido, por el mál sonido de dicho escenario secundario. . La gente estaba esperando a los colegas que todos tenemos en Cornellá, y es que asi hacen sentir al público José y David, de Estopa. Por cuestiones de tiempo, les cedieron una hora, que aprovecharon al 110%. La gente empezó a bailar y a cantar, con esta rumba catalana que terminó siendo rock. Y se gritó bien fuerte, debido al flujo de energía que crean entre el escenario y el público. . Alejandro Sanz, buen músico, nadie lo dude, pasó por el Rock in Rio más pendiente de hablar para la televisión, en ese idioma de Miami que el habla, que de cantar algo de rock. El madrileño gaditano que hablaba... pronto lo olvidará. Eso si, con una buena orquestra detrás, que nunca debe faltar en una típica fiesta de pueblo de nuestro país. Y cantó como cantan las orquestas en las fiestas patronales, el Corazón Partío y los otros éxitos melódicos del cantante. Voz aceptable, y música con buen sonido. La mejor de las orquestas de fiestas que he visto. Eso sí, eche de menos el paquito el chocolatero. . Y The Police?? Pues tienen un éxito incomensurable. 3 genios instrumentistas, con canciones míticos que son parte de la cultura musical de los últimos 20 años. Un guitarrista enérgico con unos riffs que llegaron a ser psicodélicos e incluso Punk en muchos momentos, apoteósicos. Un bajista excepcional, que resulta que canta como los Ángeles y que encima, compone canciones que llegan al publico de una forma directa y emotiva. Y por último un batería y percusionista que no para en dos horas de dar ritmo a las 70.000 personas que veían el concierto. Ronco de gritar los coros estoy y es que Sting tiene una alegría que contagia a la gente, haciendo que cantaramos a su son. Tres en el grupo y parecen 10 en el escenario. . Y como las emociones estaban a flor de piel, todavía quedaba una macrofiesta electrónica, para relajar tensiones y bailar un rato entre festivaleros y festivaleras con ganas de pasarlo bien. .
