Mesmo com a chuva que voltou atingir Ilhota hoje (29), um dos helicópteros usados nas operações de resgates está retirando cerca de 60 pessoas ilhadas na localidade conhecida como Braço do Baú. Elisabete Silva, com uma criança de colo, o filho pequeno e o marido, é a primeira família retirada pelas equipes de socorro. Eles foram levados para um abrigo montado no salão paroquial da Igreja Pio Dez. Um dos socorristas disse que as pessoas não têm noção do risco que estão correndo, permanecendo nessas regiões de topografia acidentadas por causa do solo encharcado. O trabalho de resgate das famílias isoladas no Braço do Baú deve prosseguir por toda tarde de hoje. A diretora do Centro Hospitalar Municipal de Santo André, Rosa Maria Aguiar, confirmou a autorização da família, e uma equipe médica do Instituto Dante Pazzanese já realiza exames para verificar quais os órgãos serão doados e a compatibilidade com seus receptores. Em entrevista coletiva, a neurocirurgiã Grace Mayre Lydia informou que Eloá, baleada na cabeça em uma tentativa de resgate de um seqüestro encerrado nesta sexta-feira (17), em Santo André (SP), deixou de receber os medicamentos que a induziam ao coma, porém não reagiu e permanece em estado gravíssimo. Segundo a médica, daqui a seis horas novos exames vão medir a atividade cerebral de Eloá. Nestes exames, poderá ser constatada a eventual morte cerebral da garota, ex-namorada de Lindemberg Fernandes Alves, 22 anos de idade, que manteve seqüestradas em um apartamento por 100 horas Eloá e a amiga Nayara Rodrigues.
