When I was going for a walk through Grace boulevar it was as I were at San Wenceslao's boulevard of Prague. In Sant Pau's Romanesque monastery of the Camp in the Raval´s neighborhood I was transported in to any other one of the route of the Loire in France. Gaudí's buildings placed me in the “Sorrow Castle” at Sintra, in Portugal. The surroundings of the Sant Maria del Mar church in the neighborhood of the Born introduced me in any corner of theTrastevere´s neighborhood in Rome. A mitjans de la setmana passada, el rotatiu brussel.lenc <STRONG>European Voice</STRONG>, especialitzat en notícies de l’àmbit de la Unió Europea, va publicar un article titulat “Una nova línia de tren podria causar danys al temple de Gaudí”. Segons l’autora, Zoë Casey, el Defensor del Poble europeu, Nikoforos Diamandouros, ha demanat al Banc Europeu d’Inversions, que cofinancia el projecte, que revisi l’avaluació dels impactes mediambientals de l'AVE en el tram de la Sagrada Família. Diu Diamandouros que el Banc d’Inversions no hauria dut a terme cap estudi sobre l’impacte mediambiental de l’obra, i això podria suposar una violació de les normes comunitàries. El fet més destacat de la notícia és que Diamandouros hauria demanat al Banc d’Inversions de retirar la seva part d’ajudes fins que hi hagi algun estudi complet al respecte. El Banc d’Inversions ja s’ha defensat dient que les autoritats espanyoles ja havien elaborat un estudi d’impacte a fons, d’acord amb les normes més exigents del propi Banc. Tot i el seu comunicat, la institució té ara fins al 30 de setembre per demostrar que té documentació sobre l’anàlisi de viabilitat mediambiental. La decisió, que posa en perill els 2.500 milions d’euros amb què el Banc participa en el projecte (25% del total), ha estat fruit d’una denúncia posada per un ciutadà barceloní.
