4240 El Moncayo es una montaña situada entre la provincia de Zaragoza(Aragón) y Soria (Castilla y León). Si nos adentramos en sus frondosos bosques podemos encontrarnos con el famoso Sanatorio de Agramonte. Se trata de un hospital que lleva casi 30 años abandonado donde antiguamente se internaba a enfermos pulmonares con tuberculosis con la esperanza de que el aire frío y puro de la montaña les sanara. El Sanatorio fue fundado cuando Franco asumio el gobierno de la nación pero el edificio ya existía anteriormente... Aquí es donde se pierde la pista y no mucha gente coincide en cual es el verdadero origen del Sanatorio. Según la leyenda fue creado en el decenio de 1930. El Moncayo necesitaba fomentar el turismo y se creó este edificio como un hotel y centro de ocio de clases altas. No obstante este centro no duró muchos años en funcionamiento...en 1936, con la llegada de la Guerra Civil fue asaltado. El poco personal que alli había y todos sus huéspedes fueron asesinados, algunos de ellos violados. Durante la guerra sufrió numerosos saqueos. Ya en 1938 las hermanas de la Caridad de Santa Ana fueron enviadas allí para curar a los pacientes del, ya, Sanatorio. Los primeros años solo albergaron a mujeres y es en los últimos cuando hubo algún hombre hospitalizado. El centro estuvo en funcionamiento hasta 1978 cuando el edificio cerró sus puertas definitivamente. A menos de un kilómetro del Sanatorio podemos encontrar un pequeño cementerio. Allí enterraban sólo a las monjas que morían curando a los enfermos ya que había temor de que la tuberculosis se contagiara después de muerto y decidían incinerar a los enfermos fallecidos. Hace tres o cuatro años varias de las tumbas fueron profanadas. Ahora se encuentra cerrado y los pocos restos que quedaban fueron trasladados al cementerio de San Martín. El Sanatorio también fue víctima de actos vandálicos pero todavía continúa siendo un referente de los amantes del mundo parapsicológico. 4240 Os dejo un video de Youtube de un anuncio de Mastercard que se rodó en mi pueblo, Tarazona, para los EEUU. El anuncio imita un encierro de los Sanfermines en el que un toro se escapa del recorrido y viaja por toda Europa sin problemas para "comprar" de todo con la tarjeta Mastercard. En mi opinión bastante malo, pero siempre llama la atención ver tu pueblo en un anuncio por internet. Existen numerosas teorías populares y la mayoría falsas. Una vez ha terminado ese recorrido es subido a una estatua (de un Cipotegato) que hay en la propia plaza del Ayuntamiento.
